Step-by-step setup

Create a bot via BotFather
Open Telegram → search for @BotFather → send /newbot → follow the prompts to name your bot. BotFather will give you a bot token.

Connect in EmacronAI CRM
Go to Settings → Telegram → paste your bot token → click Connect. EmacronAI CRM will automatically register a webhook with Telegram so messages route in.

Test your bot
Send a message to your bot on Telegram. Within seconds it should appear in your EmacronAI CRM inbox under the Telegram channel.

(Optional) Enable AI auto-replies
Go to Settings → AI Mode → enable for Telegram. The AI will reply to new Telegram messages using your configured persona and knowledge base.

Troubleshooting
Messages not appearing in inbox
Check that the webhook is registered: Settings → Telegram → Webhook Info. If it shows an error, click Re-register Webhook.
Bot token invalid
Tokens are invalidated if you create a new token via BotFather (/token command). Always use the latest token.
Bot works in Telegram but not in OA inbox
Ensure the EmacronAI CRM server is reachable from the internet. Telegram requires a public HTTPS URL for webhooks.
